Greetings from India!

Great utility, works well and is quite stable! Kudos! As no development has happened for over a year, and you're not charging for it either...would you be open to the idea of sharing code/GPL ...I'd like to see some features that I can help you add ....its a great utility which can be made very feature complete...If you're open to the concept, I'd like to share my ideas with you.

Cheers,
Anshu

ClipMenu seems to be exactly what I'm looking for -- but I can't use it. Whenever I try to insert a clipping or snippet, I get the print panel! I'm guessing that ClipMenu's action is tied to one particular, physical key on my keyboard, the one that's usually the letter 'V.' However, I'm using a different keymapping, one that associates the letter 'P' with that place--hence the print panel instead of the Paste action. Since other programs don't tie themselves to physical keys, I'm thinking that it might not be too hard to accomplish the same end with a more flexible mechanism. Thanks.

I forgot to say that the previous suggestion would be more consistent with the snippet menu.

Also, pressing the "option" (alt) key in the menu-bar should bring the snippet menu, instead of the clipboard menu.

I also suggest to transform the ClipMenu app into a prefs pane instead, where the prefs and quit options should be presented.

Hi !

Firstly, thank you very much for ClipMenu. It's a very usefull utility !

Second, I have a suggestion to improve ClipMenu : remove the "Clear History", "Preferences..." and "Quit ClipMenu" from the main menu, and displace them to a menu defined by doing control-click in the menu-bar.

I would also help to do a French translation of ClipMenu.

Let me know, and thanks again ! :-)

Thank you for the suggestion.

That's a good idea. I'll try to implement it in one of the future updates.

I have a suggestion for a future version.

If you copy very large clippings to the clipboard in an application, like several megabytes, ClipMenu can take very long time, and even crash this application. This happens for me when I use Mathematica from Wolfram Research, where even large graphics are copied as text.

I get around the problem by excluding Mathematica in the ClipMenu "Exclude Options" preferences, but a better way would be to have a size limit on the size in kilobytes of the material that gets copied to the ClipMenu history.

It seems to me that ClipMenu is most useful to gather small clippings, anyway.

Thank you for providing ClipMenu. It's a great application !

Regards
