kernel_task の暴走？

iBook G4が来てから今日で二度目。Mac OS Xの「kernel_task」のCPU使用率が60%を超えたまま暴走しました。こうなると再起動をするしかないようで、かなり困ります。

なにか使い方に問題があるのかと思って調べてみても、有効な解決策は見つからず。と言うか、ずいぶん前からこのkernel_taskの問題に困っている人の書き込みが散見されますね。う〜ん、何とかならないんでしょうかねぇ？

    Hello Naotaka, aparantly there is a problem with the new iBooks. If you have 1.5 GB RAM installed this happens. It has been happening to me as well and others. Please refer to these threads as they may help you out.

    Thank you, James! I’ve read the pages you pointed out.

    Yes, I’ve inserted extra 1GB memory card to my iBook shortly after purchase! I had never imagined that the RAM upgrade is the cause of problem.

    I temporarily disabled Airport (aka AirMac in Japan) connection, because I’d like to avoid the solution to limit the memory size to total 1GB. I hope this problem will be solved by future software update.
